AMPK and nutrient-sensing pathways:
from metabolism to immunity and beyond<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This 3\u2013day meeting aims at bringing together leading experts and emerging young scientists working on AMPK and its related kinases (LKB1, CAMKK2, SIKs, NUAKs, BRSKs, MARKs, SNRK) and nutrient sensing pathways (such as mTORC1, PPARs, SREBPs and hexosamine biosynthesis pathway) from a large diversity of research fields that include cardiometabolic disease, cancer, nutrition and exercise, neurology and immunology). The scientific program will cover cutting- edge research and recent discoveries, featuring 2 keynote lectures, 8 thematic scientific sessions, and plenty of opportunities for interactive discussion and networking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Historically, the European meeting alternates with the International AMPK meeting and is especially intended to facilitate collaborations, knowledge exchanges and network building for young scientists. Therefore, in line with previous editions, junior researchers and newly- established principal investigators will be given the stage to present their research. Plenty of time will also be reserved for interactive discussion through poster sessions and social events, allowing to make new personal contacts and initiate collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Leiden, with the oldest Dutch university, is officially the hosting city, the meeting will be held at the Hotel De Werelt in Lunteren, a green and ecologically-rich area close to one of the most beautiful Dutch National Parks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
